Reema Aref, first Saudi female lawyer appointed as a partner and EY law KSA Leader, is an accomplished Saudi-licensed lawyer specializing in tax, corporate, and commercial law. With a strong track record of success, Aref leads the EY legal practice in the Kingdom, offering comprehensive corporate and commercial legal advice to clients. She has established herself as a skilled negotiator, bridging the gap between lawyers and accountants to interpret laws effectively. Previously, Aref served as the director of corporate and tax law at EY, where she led the first legal tax controversy team.
Prior to joining EY, she worked as a tax appeal specialist at the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, playing a key role in implementing tax policies and changes in the Kingdom. Aref holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Leeds, an Executive Master of Business Administration from IE Business School, and an Executive Master of Laws from Northwestern University.
